i think
(always a good start: thinking) it should be possible (=respected by society) for a wife to be more successful than her husband. this thought follows from prejudice.
today i noticed that donald trump, born 1946 (according to wikipedia), is married to the far younger melania, born 1970 (also wikipedia), they got married in 2005 (wikipedia again). that makes an age difference of 24 years. 2005 he was 59 years old, she 35 young. she is a “slovenien model” and he is an “american business magnate” ( (yes, you’re right: both wikipedia). meaning she is very pretty and he ridiculously rich.
those are the facts.
my estimation (also considering his first two marriages with ivana marie zelnickova, born 1946, and marla maples, born 1963) that somehow it is very helpful - as a man - to have money (and power) if you’d like to have a rather pretty woman as your wife. and on the other hand somehow women aren’t really bothered by having far older (exempting ivana marie zelnickova) husbands.
let me judge now: i am irritated by people who - i don’t know any closer - are in a marriage with a huge age diffeferences. that is mostly because in cases like the trumps’ (also keeping anna nicole in mind) i don’t really buy the usual: love goes where love will go (or rather the german equivalent: “wo die liebe hinfällt”) anymore. furthermore, and coming back to my introductory sentence: i would really appreciate it, if wealth and fame would also in women’s attractiveness rating process be considered most important.
because after all:
there isn’t only a woman behind every successful man, but also a man behind every successful woman, right?
